~tPROFILE:GENERAL INFO
GENERAL INFO
GENERAL INFO is information that will appear
on the reports such as secretary and president
name and phone number.
The last question "BACKUP DRIVE" will prompt
Compute-Score II to automatically backup every-
time you quit a file. Leave this field blank
if you do not wish to be prompted; else place
the letter of your backup drive. (ex: A or B)
~tPROFILE:DIVISION/HCP
DIVISION / HANDICAP
In the upper right-hand corner of the window
there will be displayed what type of handicap
your league will be using (PLAYER,TEAM,NONE).
If this is wrong go back to LEAGUE PARAMETERS
and correct it before proceeding to answer the
questions.
Enter the name of each division. Use the
<Pg Dn> and <Pg Up> key to go to each divis-
ion. If all divisions use the same handicap
just enter the rules for # 1 division only.
~pDIVISION/HCP2
DIVISION / HANDICAP
HANDICAP BASE - is the base score that the
handicap is calculated from. Player scores
are around 180 to 200 while team scores are
usually based 800 to 1000.
PERCENT UNDER - If the team or player score
is below the base it will take any given
percentage from that base.
PERCENT OVER - is identical to PERCENT UNDER
except in the opposite direction. If this
happens it will give the other team that
percentage over the base.
~pDIVISION/HCP3
DIVISION / HANDICAP
MINIMUM SCORE - is the lowest score subtracted
from the base score. If set to 150 and a
bowler's average is below this value, example
140, then 150 will be used for the handicap.
Set this parameter to 0 to keep it off.
MAXIMUM - does the same as MINIMUM SCORE only
in the opposite direction. Enter 0 to keep
it off. If PERCENT OVER is set to 0% then
the maximum score can not be higher then the
base score.
~tPROFILE:LEAGUE PARM
LEAGUE PARAMETERS
NUMBER OF TEAMS - This is the actual number
of teams that bowl in the league. Must be
an even number.
NUMBER OF BOWLERS - This is the actual number
of players that bowl on a team on any given
night/day.
FIRST LANE - Enter the smallest lane number
that a team can bowl on.
~pLEAGUE PARM2
LEAGUE PARAMETERS
NO. FOR LAST AVG - is a complicated question
and probably will never be used for most
leagues. If a person does not bowl the
entire set of games his first night; should
he still use last years average for the
following week or should he use the average
of the incompleted first week. If set to 1,
as soon as a player completes the first game
for a week it will use that game for next
weeks handicap. Leave this parameter set to
1 if you do not understand the question.
~pLEAGUE PARM3
LEAGUE PARAMETERS
ABSENT: AVERAGE -: If this parameter is less
than 50 it will subtract this value from an
ABSENT bowler's average. Over 50 it takes a
percentage of the avg. (Ex:10 pins or 90%).
IMPROVED AVERAGE - Pressing <Enter> at this
field will display 2 options. Use last
year average for MOST IMPROVED AVERAGE
or use this years average.
NO GAMES FOR AVG - If the average to be used
for MOST IMPROVED AVERAGE for a player
is based on his/her current average; how
many games does he/her need.
~pLEAGUE PARM4
LEAGUE PARAMETERS
HANDICAP TYPE - Pressing <Enter> at this
field will display 3 options (PLAYER,
TEAM or NONE). Player hcp is hcp based
based on an individual score (ex: 200).
Team hcp is based on the total of indiv-
idual scores (ex:800,1000). Use NONE if
there is no hcp or you need to enter it
manually.
USE DIFF. IN HCP - Answer "YES" to this
question if ONE team ALWAYS gets 0 Hcp.
~pLEAGUE PARM5
LEAGUE PARAMETERS
HIGH TEAM SCORES - Pressing <Enter> at this
field will display 2 options (ACTUAL or
HANDICAP). This tell the program which
way to calculate the team high scores.
OVER GAME & SERIES - These parameter will
enable you to keep track of games equal to
or over a given value for each bowler.
Over series does the same thing only there
is a range of 3 values.
~tPROFILE:POINT SYSTEM
POINT SYSTEM
Points can be awarded for both team and
player games. If awarded for player games
it compares the scores for bowler #1 in one
team versus bowler #1 from the other team.
If there are no player points then make sure
that the "Player Points" parameters are set
to 0. If this is true the question "Use Hcp
for Player Points" becomes inactive. See next
page for examples ..
